How It Works
Character Substitution
This tool replaces regular English characters with visually similar characters from other alphabets (primarily Cyrillic and Greek). These Unicode "lookalikes" appear identical to the original letters but are technically different characters.
Swap Percentage
Control what percentage of eligible characters get swapped. At 100%, all possible characters are replaced. At lower percentages, the tool randomly selects which characters to swap, creating more natural-looking text.
Zero-Width Spaces
When enabled, the tool inserts invisible Unicode zero-width space characters between letters. These characters are not visibly rendered, but they change the underlying character sequence.
Why Use This?
- Create distinctive text styling with Unicode lookalikes
- Explore characters from different writing systems
- Test how software displays and handles Unicode text
- Generate alternate visual treatments of the same text
Example
Input: Hello World
Output: Ηеllo Wοrld
The 'H', 'e', and 'o' have been replaced with Greek/Cyrillic lookalikes
